All About Me

I’m a 23-year-old Mustang gelding from the sagebrush plains of New Mexico.

When people first met me, all the other horses were huddled together in the corner… but I was standing at the fence asking for scratches and attention. I was a little scraggly and gangly, and I was already on my second strike with the Bureau of Land Management — meaning I had one more chance to be adopted before my future became uncertain.

Luckily, someone saw something in me.

I was adopted in Tennessee for $25, and over the years I’ve been a lesson horse, guided trail rides through the hills, and helped many people learn patience, confidence, and kindness.

After a long journey — and 2,500 miles — I found my way to California.

Now, I find my purpose helping people with my friends at Major’s Place.
